First is the MACC system - a real innovation in modern tripod design. MACC stands for 'Multi-Angle Central Column' - a feature that allows you to manoeuvre the tripod's central column between 0-130° - covering a full range of Horizontal and vertical positions, and 40° more flexibility than any of its rivals. Although all the Alta Pro tripods are lightweight and easy to carry, there are lots of built-in features designed to maximize stability. The hexagonal central column design is less vulnerable to accidental slippage, while adjustable feet help you gain good grip in a variety of terrain. There are three leg angles for use on uneven ground (25°, 50° and 80°) and a patented magnesium die-cast canopy (where the legs meet) ensures a good firm leg brace. No-slip, all weather foam grips on the legs and an anti-shock ring prevent camera vibration damage. Levered leg locks on the aluminium alloy tripods tighten and loosen legs as desired, with a reassuringly firm action.

Vanguard SBH-30 ball and socket head is the smallest in the range of SBH Ball Heads - but it can pack a heavy load. Featuring a quick release dove tail plate with safety catch for extra security. Bubble levels in both planes of tilt.
